Kayla G. Blanchard was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and was raised on the West Bank of the Mississippi River. Upon graduating from Mount Carmel Academy, she attended Louisiana State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History. She began her work in the legal field as a Clerk of Court for the 24th Judicial District Court in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana and later worked as a legal assistant for the State of Tennessee in their child support division. Her work as a legal assistant for Davidson County, Tennessee sparked her passion to further her legal career and, upon moving back to the State of Louisiana, she began working for the Truitt Law Firm as a personal injury defense paralegal.
